JESUS NEVER FAILS

Gary Wilkerson
April 15, 2019
“Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me from the foundation of the world” (John 17:24, my emphasis). Jesus prayed for his disciples — and that includes us. He asked the Father that we may see his glory, meaning that we would know him.
At certain times in the Old Testament, Jesus revealed himself in human or angelic form, with varying results. For instance, Jacob’s hip was broken when he tried wrestling with the Lord. And when Moses said to God, “Please show me Your glory” (Exodus 33:18), the Lord told him, “I have to cover your face and hide you behind a rock, and then you can see only the trailing afterglow of my presence.” In other words, he had to protect Moses from the full revelation of himself.
In the New Testament, when the apostle John heard the Lord’s voice and received the Revelation on the island of Patmos, he fell on his face. The normal response of men and women when they saw Jesus was awe and wonder. I wonder what would happen if we saw him in all his beauty and splendor as Moses or John did.
The truth is, Jesus is beautiful in a sense far deeper than our usual usage of the descriptive word. We remark that someone is lovely or handsome, but Jesus is far more. He is glorious, wonderful, separate, unique, special. He is also tender, kind, precious, full of majesty. He is wondrous, strong, mighty, powerful, wise, outstanding. And he never fails!
Even in his human nature, Jesus remained sovereign, one with God (see Colossians 2:10). Consider some of his beautiful attributes: full of justice (John 8:16); perfectly righteous (John 8:46). And he is love (John 13:34) — a love that is unfathomable.
We are totally undeserving of this love, but that is the beauty of our amazing, incomparable Savior. Give him praise today for his unspeakable sacrifice and gift of salvation.

SUPERNATURAL COMFORT

David Wilkerson (1931-2011)
April 17, 2019
“Blessed be the … God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). All over the world, people are going through sufferings and trials and the Lord has promised to comfort us in them. Notice that nothing is said here about deliverance from the battle; we are told only that the Holy Spirit gives us comfort to endure and stay steadfast in our trial.
This comfort, provided by the Spirit in the midst of our troubles, is not simply a temporary lifting of the burden. It is not a sigh of relief, a shutting out of troubling thoughts or fears. Rather, it is supernatural. Such comfort is the exclusive ministry of the Holy Spirit, accomplished by faith as we trust in his love for us.
Scripture tells us, “You will comfort those in Zion. You will have a word of healing for those who are in despair and fear” (see Isaiah 61:2-3). In response to our faith, God’s Spirit promises to create something in us that will bring comfort in every conceivable trouble and fearsome circumstance. He will put in us a word that can heal, comfort and encourage others.
The Spirit said through Isaiah, “I have seen his ways, and will heal him; I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him … I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace” (Isaiah 57:18-19). This is one of the most encouraging promises in God’s Word. The Lord says he will drive out from us the spirit of fear and implant in us his supernatural spirit of peace. Isaiah repeats the word “peace” here to emphasize it is a continual peace. Simply put, the Holy Spirit promises, “I will create peace in you.”
As the gathering clouds cause fear in the world, may you walk according to this word from Paul: “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts” (Colossians 3:15). Amen!

Living Victoriously

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
John 10:10, AMP

Are you living victoriously? Or are you overwhelmed by guilt, fear, despair and uncertainty? Today’s scripture tells us that Jesus longs for us to enjoy life in abundance; that’s why He came and why He suffered for us on the cross. He knows so well that the enemy’s agenda is to see us defeated. The enemy steals from us by filling our minds with lies and twisted truths; he destroys our hope and freedom in the Lord. But the Word says: ‘Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us’ (Romans 8:37).

Even though Jesus longs for us to live a life that overflows, we often battle to experience this victorious life. Sometimes guilt and shame become a heavy yoke upon our shoulders and we often feel condemned, and wrongly believe that God sees us as not good enough. The truth is found in Psalm 34:22, ‘But the Lord will redeem those who serve Him. No one who takes refuge in Him will be condemned’..

The Lord is never the one who condemns you and will never tell you that you’re not good enough. If this is what you’re believing about yourself, it isn’t the voice of your heavenly Father speaking these words. The Lord will convict us of sin or wrongdoing in our lives, but He won’t condemn us. There’s a significant difference between condemnation and conviction. Condemnation is always accompanied by guilt, shame and feeling lost. It also offers no solution – this isn’t the way of our loving Father.

When the Holy Spirit points out sin in our lives (convicting us), His purpose is always to lead us to acknowledge and confess it. Once we realise that there’s an area of sin in our lives and bring it before the Lord, He can change us. He will always provide a way forward. When the Lord speaks to you, His words will carry continued hope of intimacy, friendship and a reconciled relationship. But the enemy wants to cloud our vision with feelings of guilt, shame, fear and confusion. In this way, he can twist the truth of God’s Word. God’s Word says, ‘So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Jesus Christ’ (Romans 8:1).

To live in victory, we need to start by believing the Lord’s truth over us. He says we’re righteous (completely acceptable) in Jesus and that He delights is us. Nothing we do or don’t do, can make Him love us less. ‘Therefore, since we are justified ( acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One)’ (Romans 5:1). Also Psalm 37:23, ‘The Lord direct the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives’. ‘So let’s come boldly to the throne of our gracious God’ (Hebrews 4:16) and receive His mercy and truth over our lives.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I long to enjoy the abundant life You came to give me. Please show me where I’m believing lies from the enemy about myself and reveal Your godly truth to me in every situation. I need Your discernment to recognise the voice of the enemy and to stand against his lies, in Your strength and truth. Thank You for Your grace in my life and for loving me just as I am. Amen.

Devotional from Ellel Ministries

"Therefore put on God’s complete armour, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]."
Ephesians 6:13 (Amplified)

Recently, my husband and I, and a friend visiting us, found ourselves in a situation where our lives were in danger and our safety violated. The incident left us somewhat shaken and feeling quite vulnerable. Some precious friends from Ellel Ministries spent time with us ministering into the trauma, and we’re so grateful to the Lord that, as His children, we never need to remain stuck in a place of fear.

The morning after this distressing event, I woke up with Ephesians 6:13 in my spirit: ‘Therefore put on God’s complete armour, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]’. Three truths in this scripture struck me:

Firstly, the reason why we need to be wearing the full armour of God is because the ‘evil day of danger’ is bound to come in some shape or form during our journey here on earth. Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). James 1:2-3 says, ‘Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance’. As long as we live in this fallen world, we’re bound to be faced with trials and troubles of varying degrees. But the great news is that, when we’re positioned in Jesus, covered with His armour, we’ll be able to stand our ground in the face of adversity.

Secondly, Ephesians 6:13 says, ‘and having done all the crisis demands, to stand firmly in your place’. I don’t believe that the Lord intends for us to live with our heads in the sand when trouble comes, and to pretend we’re not affected by the brokenness and distress it often brings. As God’s children, we may be under the impression that we should move on very quickly from a traumatic event, a loss, or even a relationship where we’ve been wounded. We’re to continue to keep that smile on our face, put the ‘coping mask’ on, and forge ahead. But this verse speaks about the fact that the crisis may demand some things that need to be done, some realities needing attention. This may include practical things like taking time out to recover, asking for prayer support while you’re processing something, or perhaps getting godly counsel and prayer ministry to bring God’s healing.

Thirdly, we’re encouraged to ‘stand firmly’ in our place after we’ve done all. I read an article the other day about cheetahs – those beautiful wild cats. It explained what to do, should you encounter a cheetah while you are on foot in the wild. One of the warnings in the article is not to run or show any signs of fear, because if you run, the cheetah will instinctively chase you. You’re encouraged to stand your ground and slowly move to safety. The Bible speaks of our enemy roaming around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. ‘Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset—rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined]’ (1 Peter 5:8-9). God’s Word and His promises are our anchor when we’re walking through difficult experiences. It’s the sword with which we can fight the enemy. The name of Jesus is our strong tower where we can find shelter, and His love is our safe place which drives out all fear. We are positioned in Him.

My desire is for God to be glorified through our experience; ‘But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring about as it is this day, to save many people alive’ (Genesis 50:20, NKJV).

Prayer: Lord, I want to thank You that You’re my safe place and the One who`ll never allow me to be tested beyond what I can bear. Thank you for Your perfect provision for everything I may face in this life. Help me to remember that You’re my source of comfort and strength, and the one in whom I can be secure, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This post is taken from the website of Colin Winfield, and you can download the vision in pdf format at the end of this post. We were reminded of this vision at our Tuesday gathering in late June 2018. Even after many years, this vision has much to reveal to us.
We have included Colin Winfield's own views and comments on the vision unedited.

Tommy Hicks was an American evangelist in the 1950’s. He was the house guest of Demos Shakarian on 26th December 1952, the night that God gave Demos the vision which was to see the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship begin to grow under the Lord’s hand. On this same night Tommy Hicks was told by God to go to Argentina to preach the gospel. Something he did some years later after much prayer and preparation.

When Tommy Hicks first arrived in Argentina he went to see if he could meet President Juan Perón. A government official refused Tommy Hicks permission, but as this official walked away Tommy noticed that he had a limp and asked what was wrong. The official explained that he had had terrible pain in his leg for many years. Tommy asked if he could pray for him, and subsequently commanded the pain to leave ‘In Jesus Name’. The man walked away but suddenly stopped, realizing he was healed! He told Tommy Hicks to return twenty-four hours later and he could see the President.

When Tommy Hicks had an audience with President Perón, the President told him of a severe skin complaint he suffered from. Tommy Hicks prayed for this too, and Perón was instantly healed! So he gave permission for Tommy Hicks to use one of the large stadiums for his crusade.

It is, supposedly, one of the biggest evangelistic events ever known. Over a period of several weeks more than six and one half million people heard the gospel. Many thousands gave their lives to Jesus. One afternoon, whilst preaching on Peter’s shadow, Tommy Hicks’ shadow fell across those with severe physical disabilities, those on crutches and in wheelchairs, and even some on stretchers. They were being healed! As they began to shout the whole arena erupted. Many healings accompanied this amazing event.

Tommy Hicks received a ‘prophetic vision’ in 1961. This ‘vision’ gives us insight into the end time ministry of the Church that will occur in a time of great tribulation but which will coincide with the Church’s most victorious hour. It is a ‘vision’ which also conforms to Scripture.
Colin Winfield

“My message begins, July 25th, about 2.30 in the morning, at Winnipeg, Canada. I had hardly fallen asleep when the vision and the revelation that God gave to me came before me. The vision came three times, exactly in detail, the morning of July 25th, 1961. I was so stirred and so moved by the revelation, that this has changed my complete outlook upon the Body of Christ, and upon the last end-time ministry. The greatest thing that the Church of Jesus Christ - that has ever been given to the Church - lies straight ahead. It is so hard to help men and women to realize and understand the thing that God is trying to give to His people in the end-time.

As the vision appeared to me, after I was asleep, I suddenly found myself at a great high distance. Where I was, I do not know, but as I was looking down upon the earth - suddenly the whole earth came into view - every nation, every kindred, every tongue came before my sight. From the east and from the west; from the north and the south; and I recognized every country, and many cities that I had been in. And I was almost in fear and trembling as I beheld the sight before me. And at that moment, as the earth came into view, it began to lightning and thunder. As the lightning flashed over the face of the earth, my eyes went downwards. I was facing the north.

Suddenly I beheld what looked like a giant - and as I stared and looked at it, I was almost bewildered by the sight. It was so gigantic and so great in stature; his feet seemed to reach to the North Pole and his head to the south; its arms were stretched from sea to sea. I could not even begin to understand whether this was a mountain or whether this be a giant. But as I watched it, I suddenly beheld this great giant, I could see it was struggling for life, to even live. But his body was covered with debris from head to foot; and at times this great giant would move its body and act as though it would even rise up at times. And when it did, thousands of little creatures seemed to run away - hideous looking creatures would run away from this giant - and when he would become calm, they would come back.

All of a sudden this great giant lifted his hand toward the heavens, and then it lifted its other hand; and when it did, these creatures by the thousands seemed to flee way from this giant and go into the darkness, and into the night.

Slowly this great giant began to rise - and as he did, his head and hands went into the clouds. As he arose to his feet he seemed to have cleansed himself from the debris and filth that was upon him, and he began to raise his hands into the heavens as though praising the Lord. And as he raised his hands it was even unto the clouds.

Suddenly, every cloud became silver. The most beautiful silver that I have ever known. As I watched this phenomena, it was so great, I could not even begin to understand what it all meant. I was so stirred as I watched it and cried unto the Lord, and I said, ‘Oh, Lord, what is the meaning of this?’ And it felt as if I was actually in the Spirit and I could feel the presence of the Lord, even as I was asleep.

And from the clouds, suddenly, there came great drops of liquid light raining down upon the mighty giant, and slowly, slowly, this giant began to melt; began to sink, as it were, into the very earth itself. And as he melted, his whole form seemed to have melted upon the face of the earth. And this great rain began to come down; liquid drops of light, as it were, began to flood the very earth itself. And as I watched this giant that seemed to melt, suddenly it became millions of people over the face of the earth. As I beheld the sight before me, people stood up all over the world. They were lifting their hands and they were praising the Lord.

At that very moment there came a great thunder that seemed to roar from the heavens. I turned my eyes toward the heavens and suddenly I saw a figure in white - glistening white - the most glorious thing I have ever seen in all my life. I did not see the face, but somehow I knew that it was the Lord Jesus Christ. And as He stretched forth His hand - as He did - He would stretch forth His hand upon the peoples and the nations of the world, men and women. As He pointed towards them, this liquid light seemed to flow from His hand into this person and a mighty anointing of God came upon them. And those people began to go forth in the Name of the Lord.

I do not know how long I watched. It seemed it went into days and weeks and months, and I beheld Christ as He continued to stretch forth His hand. But there was a tragedy. There were many people, as He stretched forth His hand, that refused the anointing of God, and the call of God. I saw men and women that I knew, people that I felt that certainly they would receive the call of God, but as He stretched forth His hand toward this one, and toward that one, they simply bowed their heads and began to back away. And to each of those who seemed to bow down and back away, they seemed to go into darkness. Blackness seemed to swallow them everywhere.

I was bewildered as I watched it. But these people that He had anointed - hundreds of thousands of people all over the world - in Africa, Asia, Russia, China, America - all over the world - the anointing of God was upon these people as they went forth in the Name of the Lord. I saw these men and women as they went forth. They were ditch diggers; they were washerwomen; they were rich men; they were poor men. I saw people who were bound with paralysis and sickness, and blindness and deafness. As the Lord stretched forth His hand to give them the anointing, they became well; they became healed, and they went forth.

And this is the miracle of it. This is the glorious miracle of it; those people would stretch forth their hand exactly as the Lord did, and it seemed that there was this same liquid fire that seemed to be in their hand; as they stretched forth their hand they said, ‘According to my word, be thou made whole.’

As these people continued in this mighty end-time ministry, I did not fully realize what it was. And I looked to the Lord and said, ‘What is the meaning of this?’ And He said, ‘This is that, that I will do in the last days. I will restore all that the cankerworm, the palmerworm, the caterpillar - I will restore all that they have destroyed. ‘This, My people in the end-time, shall go forth; as a mighty army they will sweep over the face of the earth.’

As I was at a great height, I watched these people as they were going to and fro over the face of the earth. Suddenly there was a man in Africa, and in a moment he was transported in the Spirit of God, and perhaps he was in Russia, or China, or America, or some other place, and vice versa; all over the world these people went. And they came through fire and through pestilence and through famine. Neither fire nor persecution - nothing seemed to stop them.

Angry mobs came to them with swords and with guns, and like Jesus, they passed through the multitude and they could not find them. But they went forth in the Name of the Lord, and
everywhere they stretched forth their hand the sick were healed, the blind eyes were opened.

There was no long prayer.

And one of the things that seemed - after I had reviewed the vision so many times in my mind; and I thought about it so many times - I never saw a church, and I never saw or heard a
denomination; but these people were going in the Name of the Lord of hosts. Hallelujah!

As they marched forward, everything they did as the ministry of Christ, in the end-time. These people were ministering to the multitudes over the face of the earth. Tens of thousands, even millions, seemed to come to the Lord Jesus Christ as these people stood forth and gave the message of the Kingdom - of a coming Kingdom - in this last hour. It was so glorious.

God is going to give to the world a demonstration in this last hour such as the world has never known. These men and women are of all walks of life. Degrees will mean nothing. I saw these workers as they were going forth over the face of the earth. When one would seem to stumble and fall another would come and pick them up. There was no big ‘I’ and little ‘You’, but every mountain was brought low and every valley was exalted, and they seemed to have one thing in common; there was divine love that seemed to flow forth from these people as they went together, as they worked together, as they lived together. It was the most glorious thing that I have ever known. Jesus Christ was the theme of their life.

As I watched from the very heaven itself, there were times when great deluges of this liquid light seemed to fall upon great congregations. And that congregation would lift their hands and seemingly praise God for hours and even days as the Spirit of God came upon them. God said, ‘I will pour My Spirit upon all flesh,’ and that is exactly the thing that God was doing; and to every man and to every woman that received this power and the anointing of God; the miracles of God - there was no ending to it. And then again, as these people were going about the face of the earth, a great persecution seemed to come from every end of the earth.

Suddenly, there was another loud clap of thunder that seemed to resound around the world, and I heard, again, the voice. The voice seemed to speak, ‘Now this is My people, this is My beloved bride.’ And when the voice spoke, I looked upon the earth and I could see the lakes and the mountains. The graves were opened and people from all over the world; the saints of all ages seemed to be rising. As they rose from the graves, suddenly, all these people came from every direction, and they seemed to be forming again, this gigantic body. As the dead in Christ seemed to be rising first, I could hardly comprehend it. It was so marvelous; it was far beyond anything I could ever dream or think of.

But, as the body suddenly began to form and take shape again, it took shape again in the form of this mighty giant. But this time it was different. It was arrayed in the most beautiful, gorgeous white. It’s garments were without spot or wrinkle as the body began to form. And the people of all ages seemed to be gathering into this body, and slowly, slowly, as it began to form up into the heavens, suddenly from the heavens above, the Lord Jesus came - became the Head. And I heard another clap of thunder that said, ‘This is My beloved Bride in who I have waited. She will come forth, even tried by fire. This is she that I have loved from the beginning of time.’

As I watched, my eyes suddenly turned to the far north and I saw - seemingly destruction - men and women in anguish and crying out, and buildings in destruction. Then I heard again the fourth voice that said, ‘Now is My wrath being poured forth upon the face of the earth.’ From the ends of the whole world the wrath of God seemed to be poured out and it seemed that there were great vials of God’s wrath being poured out upon the face of the earth. I can remember it as though it happened a moment ago. I shook and trembled as I beheld the awful sight of seeing cities, and whole nations, going down to destruction. I could hear the weeping and the wailing. I could hear people crying. They seemed to cry as they went into caves, but the caves and the mountains opened up. They leaped into water, but the water would not drown them. There was nothing that seemingly could destroy them. They were wanting to take their life but they could not take it.

Then again, I turned my eyes unto the Body, arrayed in the beautiful white garment. Slowly, slowly, it began to rise from the earth. As it did, I awoke. I had seen the end-time ministry; the last hour. Again on July 27, at 2.20 in the morning, the same revelation; the same vision, came exactly as it did before.

This vision pertains to the time of ‘great tribulation’, describing the Church’s ministry during this period, and finishes as God’s wrath begins to be poured out, just as the Church is caught up to be with the Lord.

Many Christians wrongly think the ‘great tribulation’ and the ‘wrath of God’ are the same but scripture speaks of these as clearly different events and these descriptions are not used interchangeably. In the time just before the ‘giant’ suddenly begins to break free, as the chains come off, the debris and demons, being the spirits of religion and antichrist, amongst others, which have ensnared the Body of Christ for the last 2000 years, are removed.

Corresponding to the vision of the ‘Separation of Harlot and Bride’, we see an end-time release of the Church, the Body of Christ. A release which will bring the Body of Christ into a corporate ministry, the likes of which have not been seen before.

Tommy Hicks says that as the giant stood up, seemingly having cleansed itself from the debris, liquid light rained on the giant, there was no big ‘I’ or little ‘You’ in this equal brotherhood, made up of people from every walk of life. These ordinary people, rich and poor, were used to release many from sickness, paralysis, blindness or deafness. This mighty end-time army came through fire and pestilence and famine. Angry mobs with swords and guns were unable to touch them, if it were not their time. On occasions they were translated in the Spirit. The scene being described was of a demonstration of ‘overcoming power’.

There was no church [building], or denomination, although there were congregations, and as they went forth in the Name of the Lord Jesus, with no other name, and gave the message of the Kingdom in this final hour; a multitude seemed to come to a salvation knowledge of the Lord. The gospel of the Kingdom was being preached in the whole world as a witness just as Jesus said it would.

Like any other vision, this one must conform to Scripture. It certainly should not alter Scripture. The only place in Scripture where this vision fits, is within the time of the ‘great tribulation.’ Here it fits exactly.

This post is taken from notes by artist Annea Wilson of Cornerstone Fellowship accompanied by one of her beautiful paintings. Annea has drawn her inspiration from scripture and from visions shared at our meetings. It is the first of four recent paintings by Annea and the others will appear here soon.
24th September 2017 - OUR FIRST GATHERING

We were given a picture and a prophetic word. "Go out arrayed in the colours of the rainbow". Colours have particular meaning in The Bible, and the colours of the rainbow symbolize the the many-hued aspect of the light of God. The message today is to go forth - your feet shod with peace - in the light and colours of God's rainbow. Light is radiant energy; invisible as well as visible. We experience this, not only naturally, but
spiritually.

II Corinthians 4:18 says "while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal." And we are reminded that "it is the eternal things that are the most important". (John Grunder 11-05-09)

The painting is of a rainbow in the seven different hues, and I have chosen each colour to represent an aspect of God's nature.
  • RED: stands for the Redemption, the Blood of Jesus and the forgiveness of sins; also His great love for us. It represents the roots going far into the ground ... the bedrock; God our Father.
  • ORANGE: Creativity, Fertility, Growth and Development in the Holy Spirit.
  • YELLOW: Life ... eternal life; Glory ... glory to Him who first loved us; Strength
  • GREEN: Fruit, healing, happiness and blessing.
  • BLUE: Heaven and the righteousness of God the Father and His Son, Jesus. It means spiritual blessing from walking with Him in our daily lives.
  • INDIGO: Covering and the Atonement.
  • VIOLET: Royalty, justice and judgement.

'Lively Stones' Comment:
Thank you, Annea for sharing your beautiful work with us.
The 'rainbow' described in GENESIS 9:13  I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth, refers not only to a rainbow, but also to a battle, or hunting bow as used by an archer. The word comes from a root word meaning to be harsh, or severe.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: The import is clear. God is serious and breaking the covenant with Him will have severe implications for His people.
It is amazing and reassuring that The Lord should remind us of this covenant at our first Sunday meeting - and realising that His covenant, described by light in the clouds, is at the same time, no light matter.
The light refracted in the water droplets into seven colours represents the many aspects of the nature of God in their completeness. This same notion underlines Joseph's coat of many colours, revealing that Joseph became God's instrument by putting on the covering of God's nature.
1 PETER 2:9  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS…

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
