Tuesday Gathering: 21st September 2021 (Part 2)When we blame God for things going wrong in our lives, we are building a wall which prevents God’s healing/salvation process operating; but as soon as we turn again to Him, He will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame. [Joel 2:25-26 NKJV] We can see this in the story of Jonah, who determined to follow his own path and was swallowed by a great fish, which spat him out once he had changed his mind and elected to follow God’s will for his life. When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple. "Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy. But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD." So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land. [Jonah 2:7-10 NKJV] It is empowering when the soul agrees with The Holy Spirit, for that way we receive what is best for us according to His plan and purpose. The Lord is opening prison doors and leading His people out, but we must have the patience to “Wait for The Lord” so that we may “taste of things not heard or seen.” Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! [Psalm 27:14 NKJV] It is all “ln His Time.” We read Psalm 28:4-9, but noted particularly verse 6 which says, Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! Romans 8:38-39 says, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And Psalm 91:2; I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust." We sang “Hide Me In Your Holiness” at this point and Psalm 27:5 tells us, For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. It takes time for effective healing in The Lord and the key to it is forgiveness. A story or two from Ellel Ministries illustrated the need for forgiveness before healing — and at times demonstrably amazing healing can take place (See the book from Sovereign World publishers “Lynda: From Accident and Trauma to Healing and Wholeness”) There was a time of sharing of stories and experiences, followed by prayer and we closed with singing “He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands”, which has been chosen for our song today — see the You Tube link below. May the God of peace sanctify you wholly so that we are no longer sickly souls retarding His purposes, but perfected through suffering.

MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS…Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Archives
